Nick Sherwood has had a varied career: teaching in schools, working as a choral and orchestral conductor, as an organist and singer, as an adjudicator and latterly as a private teacher.

In January 2015 he was invited to take on playing for the Sunday morning service at St Augustine’s Chapel,  St Monica Trust, in Westbury-on-Trym. As a consequence he now realises he has the privilege of presiding at one of the most remarkable and characterful organs in the West of England, in an acoustic rivalling that of many of the great choral foundations! This instrument is currently being fully restored by Harrison & Harrison of Durham.

Nick has also been a deputy tenor Vicar Choral at Wells Cathedral, and he enjoys singing with Bristol Cathedral Chamber Choir and Standish Consort.
