About Yate Choral Society
This well-established choir has a good balance of SATB voices, singing a mainly classical repertoire. A wide range of music has been performed over the years to satisfy a variety of tastes.
Performances, usually three a year, have ranged from small-scale works such as Vaughan Williams folksongs, Rutter and Lauridsen, to oratorios and other sacred works. The members are experienced in singing in Latin, opening opportunities for music from five centuries. They enjoy contemporary music alongside Renaissance and Baroque.
New Choir Members welcome! We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 pm to 9.30pm at St Nicholas’ family centre Chargrove Yate BS37 4LG (see map).
The Choir is a full member of National Association of Choirs and is registered as a Charity with the Charity Commission – Registered Number 112742
